Luhrmann Looks: Myrtle Wilson (Great Gatsby)

Hey guys,

Today’s look is inspired by Myrtle Wilson in the Great Gatsby movie by Baz Luhrmann. She is my least favorite female character in the movie but her makeup is pretty amazing and very unique. I think it has a very different vibe since her role in the movie is completely opposite to the other two women. The Great Gatsby might be my favorite movie of Luhrmann and I can’t wait to rewatch it when wrapping all the Christmas gifts. That’s one of my Christmas traditions. :D

What you need:

  • Eyeshadow base (as Urban Decay Primer Potion)
  • Nude base (as Mac Paint Pot in Painterly)
  • Tan eyeshadow (as Urban Decay eyeshadow in Laced)
  • Medium grey eyeshadow (as MakeupGeek eyeshadow in Stealth)
  • Warm brown eyeshadow
  • Cool-toned dark brown eyeshadow
  • Black eyeshadow
  • Off-white eyeshadow
  • Skintone colored eyeshadow
  • Black liquid eyeliner
  • White eyeliner pencil (as Nyx Jumbo Pencil in Milk)
  • Mascara
  • Optional: false lashes (as Red Cherry Lashes in W001)
  • Optional: brow powder
  • Concealer (as Maybelline Fit Me concealer in the lightest shade)
  • Foundation (as Lancome Teint Idole foundation in 02)
  • Setting powder
  • Bronzer
  • Pink blush
  • Golden highlighter (as Tarte Amazonian Clay blush in Angelic)
  • Red lip liner
  • Red lip gloss

I love how different and unique the lip shape is. It shows you that you can change so much about your face with a bit of makeup. And sometimes that’s just a lot of fun. :)

Follow me on Twitter as well.  :)

Take care, bye!
